The Process of Obtaining Your Ranch Map

  1. Locate the property
    1. We start out by getting some basic information about your property
    2. An address or location description is sometimes all we need.
    3. Old maps can be helpful.
    4. A legal description of the property is often a good way to get started.
  2. Rough draft
    1. We spend a few days putting together a starter map of your property.
    2. Any features that are visible from aerial imagery can be added easily.
    3. Historical maps can be incorporated.
  3. Revision
    1. You get to look at the map and make any corrections that you like.
    2. You can even use a pen to draw correction and make notes.
    3. We will send you the digital file and help you get it set up on your GPS device.
  4. Add GPS features
    1. You can mark features like water valves and water lines using GPS to get precise locations of hard to find features.
    2. Take as long as you need to fill in your map.
    3. We can make site visits to help with mapping.
    4. Send the new features to us.
    5. We will add them as permanent features.
